Pershore Abbey Peregrine Watch - LIVE

We are thrilled to announce that the Pershore Abbey Peregrine camera is now LIVE.

This project is the result of many hours hard work by a dedicated team. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our anonymous donor for the camera, Cllr Dan Boatright & Worcestershire County Council for funding for cabling and screen and materials and most of all, Jason Marshall, Christopher Kimberley, Martyn Spence and Judy Dale for all their time and effort spending many man hours working hard to enable us to be able to watch from our devices. These things are not easy when dealing with a Grade I Listed Building but they have managed to pull it off successfully, just in time for the breeding season.

The nesting platform was made and donated by Jason Marshall last year, and erected by Dawson Steeplejacks with funding from the Friends of Pershore Abbey. Necessary permissions were sought and given. This year, fresh gravel was carefully applied (hands free) via a shoot.

Update 02.04.2024: Mrs Peregrine has laid a fourth egg!

Peregrines incubate their eggs for 33-35 days, and their young are ready to leave the next when they are 5-6 weeks of age.
