Saturday 18th - Pershore Choral winter concert The Armed Man

Timed for the weekend following Remembrance Sunday, will feature Karl Jenkins’ The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace. The work was commissioned by the Royal Armouries Museum for the Millennium celebrations.  Like Benjamin Britten's War Requiem before it, it is essentially an anti-war work based on the Catholic Mass, and incorporates the fifteenth-century folk song "L'homme armé" in the first and last movements.
